Business Intelligence Specialist


The Business Intelligence Specialist we are looking for has two main challenges:

The first one is to organize and to structure the processes and automation within the sales division.
The second one is to organize the organization and business intelligence environment in order to optimally support the organisations’ need of insight.

Your main challenges

  • Constantly improving the process of automation;
  • Setting up a future-oriented approach and strategy for reporting, data management and business information for the sales division, all this in close collaboration with Yield, Sales and IT;
  • The implementation of a long-term reporting and automation strategy, in constant dialogue with your internal customers (these include Planning, Sales and Creative);
  • Collecting and interpreting the different business needs of the various divisions and continuously look for opportunities to optimize them;
  • Collecting the existing Market, Competitive and Customer intelligence and translating it into concrete insights;
  • Providing advice and guidance to optimize the reporting to be efficient and effective;
  • Solving problems that prevent effective reporting and automation;
  • Being the first and primary contact point within the sales division regarding the availability of certain reports or analyses;
  • Transferring knowledge and skills to the operational and technical teams to achieve effective and efficient reporting;
  • Analytical business monitoring of the key customers and of the key channels;
  • Detecting anomalies in reports or bookings and optimize them proactively ;
  • The follow-up of KPIs (actual state vs. contract);
  • Setting-up and following up the reporting of net k/ GRP, commissioning and competitive view,

Your profile

  • You’re Dutch- or French-speaking and proficient in English;
  • You have a proven track record of at least 2 years;
  • You’re highly capable of working independently;
  • You’ re a strong analytical thinker;
  • You keep important information top of mind ;
  • You can think on a strategic level and you like to work with numbers;
  • You are proactive and you are customer-oriented;
  • You don’t hesitate to come up with new ideas;
  • You’re affiliated with various media tools and systems as; Excel, dash boarding tools (tableau, clicksense/power bi) and PowerPoint,
  • You’re an expert in reporting and you have both insight in and strong understanding of the architecture of analysis and reporting environments;
  • You always work accurately, correctly and with an eye for detail;
  • You have experience in this particular field, for example a similar position within a media company is a plus;
